From non-violence peacebuilding training and community dialogues to anticipatory humanitarian action, YSAT South Sudan works with communities in Pibor, Duk, Magwi, and across Jonglei and Eastern Equatoria to reduce conflict and build self-sustained, violence-free communities.
All projects below are implemented across Pibor and Duk in Jonglei State, and Pajok Payam in Magwi County, Eastern Equatoria.
Implemented in partnership with Dan Church Aid (DCA) with funding from DANIDA and USAID, this project ran in Magwi County from October to December 2022 with the aim of peacebuilding and livelihood enhancement. Activities included a three-day non-violence peacebuilding training for 40 youth, a Sport for Peace football tournament involving 10 teams, and a community peace dialogue attended by over 150 community members.
