Avudraga Timothy Isaru is a committed and results-oriented development professional with ten years of experience, currently serving as YSAT Project Manager with the Uganda Refugee Resilience Initiative (URRI). He brings extensive expertise in project leadership, project management, programme development, staff management, proposal writing, budgeting, activity implementation, coordination, monitoring, reporting and evaluation, community engagement, and sustainable development, with a strong focus on empowering vulnerable populations and strengthening resilience among refugee and host communities.
Timothy Avudraga
URRI Project Manager
In his role, Timothy leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of livelihoods and environment programmes that build skills, expand livelihood opportunities, and foster social cohesion. He manages multidisciplinary teams, ensures effective resource use, and aligns project outcomes with URRI's goals under the Save the Children-led consortium.
Timothy holds a Diploma in Forestry and a Certificate in General Vegetable Production and Management from Wageningen University and Research, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Forest Science and Environmental Management. His strengths lie in stakeholder collaboration, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic planning. His inclusive and accountable leadership style has enabled him to forge strong partnerships with local governments, international organisations, and grassroots groups.
Under his guidance, the YSAT URRI project has enhanced youth, women and men participation in decision-making and advanced initiatives that contribute to long-term stability and growth. Beyond his professional duties, Timothy is passionate about capacity building and mentorship, actively supporting project staff to develop the skills and confidence needed to drive positive change.
