"His core commitment is to women and youth, and to building solutions that outlast the projects that fund them."
Bidali John is a social worker and community development practitioner who has spent over seven years at YSAT building economic pathways for some of Uganda's most vulnerable communities. His work sits at the heart of YSAT's livelihoods pillar: equipping households with the skills, savings structures, and technologies they need to move from dependency toward genuine self-reliance.

Project Manager — Livelihoods
Bidali's approach draws on Village Savings and Loan Associations, the Creative Capacity Building methodology developed by MIT D-Lab, and hands-on capacity building in peacebuilding and conflict management. He holds a Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration, complemented by training in MEAL, computer literacy, peacebuilding, and leadership. He has led and supported multiple projects funded by international donors, managing implementation, monitoring, and reporting with the rigour that donor accountability demands.
As Project Manager for Livelihoods at YSAT, Bidali oversees planning, risk management, budget control, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership. His core commitment is to women and youth, and to building solutions that outlast the projects that fund them.
